Are you a MineCraft player? Like to build things? Then this contest is for you!!

The SIT Conference along with IlliniCloud is sponsoring a MineCraft Pre-Conference Challenge. (A MineCraft ID is required. If you have questions, please email sitcraft@sitconference.org)

CATEGORIES:

  • Historical/Educational/Literary Build (White House, The Alamo, Middle Earth, Hunger Games Arena, etc.)
  • Free build (boat, house, roller coaster, etc.)
  • Red Stone Device

AGE GROUPS:

  • Grades 3-5
  • Grades 6-8
  • Grades 9-12

DATES OF THE CHALLENGE:

January 30, 2013 – February 20, 2013

PRIZES:

Each site will have a winner for each category and age group.

HOW TO SIGN UP FOR THE CHALLENGE:

  • Register for the SIT Conference
  • Email sitcraft@sitconference.org with your name, challenge you are entering, grade, school and site you are attending. If you are registering as a team – please include the names of your team members.
  • We will contact you with instructions on how to submit your entry

RULES:

  • Can only compete in contest if registered for SIT.
  • Has to be your own build. Original and not copied.
  • One entry per person/team. A team can consist of up to 3 players. However, each participant must be registered for SIT. *If there are more than 3 participants or all participants are not registered…they team will be disqualified.

  • Persons NOT registered for the conference will NOT be allowed to enter a conference site. 
  • A $10 processing fee will be charged for registration cancelled prior to January 28, 2013. No refunds will be issued after deadline. There is NO on-site registration and NO attendee substitutions.
