All 3-12 students in the DeWitt,
Livingston, and McLean and other counties are eligible to be
presenters.

Presentations may be given by an
individual student or a group of students (up to 5
students).

Each presenter/group must have an
adult chaperone (parent, teacher, or mentor).

A presenter/group must fill out the
presentation area on the registration form. Submit a
registration form for each presentation. However, ONLY pay
one registration fee.

An adult chaperone may sponsor UP TO
five individual or group presentations.
-
The adult chaperone MUST be present at
the time of the presentation to assist the students if
needed.

Presentations should be
self-contained. If you need special software please indicate
this on the registration form.

A presentation must be related to
technology.
-
A presentation may be and not limited
to a demonstration of; a project/ program,
software/hardware, how technology was used to obtain a goal,
e-commerce, uses of technology in businesses and careers.

A presentation session is 30 minutes
long. The presentation should be 15 - 20 minutes. NO longer.
Allow 10 minutes for questions and answers.

Special permission is necessary for
the installation of software or hardware. All installation
will be done by Heartland technicians prior to the
conference. Installation materials must be given to Beverly
Stevens by January 31st.

Conference computers will contain:
Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer.

It is advisable for presenters to
bring a laptop loaded with necessary software.

Each conference room will have a PC
with audio, computer projection system, screen and VCR.

Handouts - Presenters should bring 40
copies of handouts for their presentation.

Presenters accompanied by adult may
visit their assigned conference room at Heartland Community
College Friday, February 10, 2006 between 4:00 p.m - 6:00
p.m. Please check in at the desk in the Community Commons
Building

Presenters must be in their assigned
conference room the day of the conference 10 minutes before
their presentation.

A technician will be available the day
of the conference in each conference room to provide
assistance setting up for presentations.

A monitor will be available the day of
the conference to introduce the presenters/presentation and
control the conduct of the audience.

All presenters and adult chaperones
MUST register for the conference and pay the registration
fee.

Upon receipt of presenter forms the
conference committee will notify the adult chaperone for the
presentation as to the time and room location for the
presentation on February 11, 2006. Please make sure you
include an e-mail address on your registration form.

All presenters must check in at
registration.
